RESIDENCE PERMIT - Type D Visa
For stays longer than 90 days, non-Schengen foreigners need a residence permit (also for those who can stay without a visa for 90 days in Hungary). The application for a residence permit shall be made on a form corresponding to the purpose of the stay. The residence permit must be presented at the Hungarian embassy of the state where the applicant is a national or legally resident. Regulation (EC) No 539/2001. Citizens of certain countries may apply for a residence permit in Hungary in Annex II (positive list). However, if you submit your application to a citizen of a country that is not eligible in Hungary, your application will certainly be rejected.
MANDATORY ANNEXES TO THE RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATIONS
1. CERTIFICATION OF THE PURPOSE OF RESIDENCE
The application for a residence permit shall be made on a form corresponding to the purpose of the stay.
The most common goals of residence permit applications in Hungary are:
- Working
- Continuing of Studies
- Family reunification
- Doing business
It is not accepted by the authorities tha they will be lookin for a job after they arrive to Hungary.
2. PROOF OF EXPLANATION OF EXPRESSION
Every residence permit application must state that the applicant will make a living in Hungary. The Authorities do not accept that they will look for work in Hungary!
3. CERTIFICATE OF ACCOMMODATION IN HUNGARY
The applicant must prove where he / she will live in Hungary.
4. CERTIFICATE OF HEALTH CARE
All applications must demonstrate that the applicant will be fully covered in health care in Hungary. This can be proved by presenting an insurance or cash coverage.
5. VERIFICATION OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
The applicant must prove that he / she will be able to and will leave the country after the expiration of his / her stay in Hungary. Our Office undertakes to prepare and contribute to your residence permit for any purpose, in accordance with the applicable law, to successfully submit it to the appropriate Authorities.
